Tay Ninh mobilizes all resources to develop a synchronized transportation infrastructure.
(Dan Tri) – Once completed, these projects will improve Tay Ninh’s transportation infrastructure towards synchronization and modernization, forming an interconnected traffic network and expanding new development spaces.

At the 1st Congress of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province presented a report on solutions to implement the breakthrough task of mobilizing all resources to develop infrastructure, especially a synchronized and modern transportation system connecting key development regions.
Completing projects for the 2021–2025 period
According to the Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Tay Ninh Province, in line with the general policy over many terms, especially during the 2020–2025 period, the two provinces of Long An and Tay Ninh (prior to the merger) focused on investing in transportation infrastructure with total capital of about VND 62,329 billion, of which approximately VND 13,734 billion came from central government support, and more than VND 48,595 billion from local budgets. Many key projects have been implemented, creating a synchronized regional connectivity network.
Major projects that have been and are being implemented include: the Tan An City Ring Road, DT.830E, DT.827E, DT.782–DT.784, DT.793–DT.792, the Dat Set – Ben Cui Road, DT.781 (Phuoc Tan – Chau Thanh section), among others. These projects form continuous connectivity routes from Ho Chi Minh City through Tay Ninh to Dong Thap; radial traffic axes connecting Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 3 and Ring Road 4, linking the Southeast region, the Mekong Delta, and Cambodia, thereby reducing traffic pressure on National Highways 1, N2, 50, 22, and 22B.
As a result, they contribute to easing traffic congestion, strengthening connectivity between the national road network and Ho Chi Minh City, while creating favorable conditions for industrial zones and clusters in the province to connect with Hiep Phuoc Port, Long An International Port, and the Moc Bai and Binh Hiep border gates. This promotes trade and creates new development spaces.

During the 2021–2025 period, many important projects were completed, such as the upgrade and expansion of DT.824 (Tua Mot – Kenh Ranh Bridge section), the Hung Vuong – National Highway 62 interchange (Tan An City), DT.826E, the Luong Hoa – Binh Chanh Road, DT.823D, and the inter-regional N8 – DT.787B – DT.789 route, among others. These projects continue to improve the intra-provincial and inter-provincial transportation network, creating favorable conditions for goods circulation, attracting investment, and promoting socio-economic development.
However, Tay Ninh’s transportation system still faces limitations, such as overloaded key routes during peak periods, inconvenient inter-regional connections, and provincial and communal roads that remain narrow, especially in rural and border areas, causing difficulties in traffic circulation and local economic development.
After the merger, Tay Ninh has a larger scale in terms of both land area and population. It lies along the East–West economic corridor, bordering Ho Chi Minh City, within the Southeast region—the most dynamic economic region of the country—while also serving as a gateway to the Mekong Delta. The province has 369 km of border with Cambodia, along with 4 international border gates and 4 main border gates. This strategic position offers great opportunities but also poses challenges in developing a synchronized, modern transportation infrastructure that meets regional connectivity requirements and supports rapid, sustainable development.
Eight groups of infrastructure development solutions
At the 1st Congress of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term, the province identified a “breakthrough task of mobilizing all resources to develop infrastructure, especially a synchronized and modern transportation system connecting key development regions.”
Key priority projects include: the industrial–urban corridor connecting Moc Bai – Xuyen A; the Ho Chi Minh City – Tay Ninh – Dong Thap development axis (DT.827E); Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 section through Tay Ninh; the Duc Hoa development axis; and the Tan An – Binh Hiep development axis.
Other development axes include: the Ho Chi Minh City – Moc Bai Expressway; the Go Dau – Xa Mat Expressway; the Binh Chanh – Ring Road 4 – My Quy Tay Border Gate axis; and the Vam Co Dong River waterway route.
Once completed, these projects will improve the province’s transportation infrastructure toward synchronization and modernization, forming an interconnected traffic network and expanding new development spaces.

To effectively implement the breakthrough in transportation infrastructure, Tay Ninh has identified eight main solution groups: completing provincial planning after the merger, using transportation as a development axis, and strengthening regional connectivity, especially with Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast region, and the Mekong Delta.
The province focuses on mobilizing investment capital, leveraging budget revenues while saving on recurrent expenditures, and promoting public-private partnerships (PPP) and ODA funding. It is estimated that the 2026–2030 period will require approximately VND 150,026 billion, of which VND 40,871 billion will come from the central budget, VND 75,136 billion from the provincial budget, and VND 32,213 billion from non-budgetary sources. Administrative procedures will be reformed to shorten project preparation and implementation times, and investments will be prioritized for key projects with high spillover effects.
Mechanisms and policies for mobilizing capital will be perfected to ensure a balance of interests among the State, investors, and society. Land clearance will be accelerated, considered a key breakthrough step, mobilizing participation from the entire political system and social organizations. High-quality human resources in transportation will be developed, covering design, construction, management, and project operation.
Additionally, the province applies science and technology, as well as digital transformation, in investment, management, and operation of transportation infrastructure; manages and controls transportation development in line with urban and rural planning to ensure synchronization, sustainability, and to avoid unplanned growth and infrastructure overload.
Investment in transportation infrastructure is an urgent requirement, providing a foundation for socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and promoting rapid and sustainable growth. With the decisive leadership of the Party and the State, and coordination from ministries, sectors, and local authorities, Tay Ninh expects to realize the goal of developing a synchronized, modern transportation infrastructure, becoming a logistics center and an important gateway for regional and international trade.
